The Role
As a Science Technician, you will:
- Prepare, set up and clear away equipment for practical Science lessons
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and safe practical experiments
- Maintain laboratory equipment and resources
- Monitor and manage stock levels, placing orders where required
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with the organisation and maintenance of Science laboratories
- Support students and staff during practical activities when required
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a degree in a Science-related subject or has relevant laboratory experience
- Has strong organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail
- Understands the importance of health and safety procedures
- Is proactive, reliable and able to work independently
- Previous experience in a laboratory or school setting is desirable but not essential
