Graduate Teaching Assistant – All Girls Secondary School – Tower Hamlets

An outstanding all girls secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking enthusiastic and ambitious Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2026 for the full academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are considering teacher training in the future and would like to gain valuable classroom experience before embarking on a PGCE, School Direct, or Teacher Apprenticeship programme.

The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support students across KS3 and KS4 within the classroom
• Deliver small group interventions and one to one support
• Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Help raise attainment and confidence among students
• Support pupils with varying learning needs, including SEND and EAL learners
• Gain invaluable experience working alongside experienced teachers and school leaders

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a degree (2:2 or above preferred)
• Has a genuine passion for education and supporting young people
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is committed, reliable and eager to learn
• Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
