We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Sutton looking to appoint a Trainee Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills while supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, including children with Special Educational Needs (SEND).
About the role:
- Full-time position starting in September
- Work within a supportive primary school in Sutton
- Support pupils in the classroom, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Gain valuable experience supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, Speech & Language needs, SEMH and learning difficulties
- Earn while you learn with full training provided
- Opportunity to secure a long-term or permanent position
- Gain a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification through Creative Education
- Access over 300 CPD modules, including SEND, Behaviour Management, Phonics, Safeguarding and Classroom Practice
- Excellent opportunity for graduates or those considering a future career in teaching
About you:
- Passionate about working with children and supporting their development
- Patient, enthusiastic and resilient
- Reliable with a positive attitude
- Willing to learn and develop professionally
- Previous experience working with children, as a support worker, carer, sports coach or youth worker is desirable but not essential
- Personal experience supporting children with SEND is welcomed
- A driver is beneficial but not essential
The Training Programme:
Our Early Career Teaching Assistant Programme combines practical, on-the-job experience with a structured CPD programme designed by experienced education leaders and delivered by our CPD partners, Creative Education.
