We are working with a secondary school in Ashford, Surrey to recruit enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant Apprentices to join the school from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical classroom experience while completing a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship, worth over £7,000. Throughout the programme, you will earn while you learn, receiving dedicated mentoring and training from experienced school staff and your apprenticeship provider.
Upon successful completion, you will also have the opportunity to progress onto a Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification, opening the door to increased responsibility and further career progression within education.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Work with individual students and small intervention groups.
- Support pupils with SEND, SEMH and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
- Help students build confidence, independence and resilience.
- Assist with lesson preparation and classroom resources.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day.
- Gain practical experience while working towards your nationally recognised qualification.

Requirements
- Commitment to completing the 11-month Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.
- Available to work Monday to Friday throughout the academic year.
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) preferred.
- Not currently enrolled on another government-funded apprenticeship or qualification.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
