Teaching Assistant Apprentice

We are currently supporting a high-performing secondary school in East London with the recruitment of a Pastoral Teaching Assistant for a September start. The school is well regarded locally and nationally, with a strong academic track record and a clear focus on student support and inclusion.

Role: Pastoral Teaching Assistant (September Start)

• Prior experience in a primary or secondary school setting
• Ability to support students across KS2 to KS4
• Experience or exposure to SEN, particularly severe or complex needs
• Confident working within a mainstream classroom environment
• Strong spoken English and a good standard of maths
• Professional, reliable, and able to build strong relationships with students

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students pastorally, helping to ensure they are engaged, supported, and able to access learning effectively.

The school will offer a trial week for suitable candidates as part of the selection process.
