Teaching Assistant

Engage Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join a large, welcoming primary school in Wythenshawe from September.

This is a full-time, long-term role supporting a Year 1 class, with a strong focus on delivering phonics interventions. Previous experience using Read Write Inc (RWI) is essential, as you’ll be working closely with pupils to develop their early reading and phonics skills.

The school has a supportive leadership team, excellent behaviour throughout, and is looking for someone who can hit the ground running and become a valued member of the team.
The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a UK primary school
• Strong knowledge and practical experience delivering Read Write Inc (RWI) or similar
• Confidence supporting Year 1 pupils both in class and through small group interventions
• A positive, proactive approach and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• A passion for helping children make progress and reach their potential
