Teacher of Geography Required for an Outstanding Secondary School in Bradford

About the role
This is a full-time role in which you will be expected to deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the Humanities faculty.
The Humanities Department is a thriving and well-resourced team that plays a central role in the academic life of the school. Staff work collaboratively to develop engaging and challenging learning experiences that encourage students to think critically about the world around them, deepen their understanding of human and physical geography, and develop the analytical skills required for academic success.

The ideal candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Geography and the wider Humanities curriculum
- A commitment to maintaining exceptionally high expectations of behaviour, effort, and achievement
- The ability to deliver engaging, knowledge-rich lessons that challenge and inspire students
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
- A reflective practitioner who is committed to continual professional growth
- The ability to contribute positively to a collaborative, high-performing department and wider school community
- A commitment to supporting students’ personal development, leadership qualities, and character education alongside their academic progress
