What You’ll Be Doing

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
  • Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities.
  • Helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting confidence and independence.
  • Adapting to different schools and year groups.

No two days are the same, making supply work an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience and develop your skills.
