About the role

We’re currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in West Molesey from the start of the next academic year.

Our team has built an excellent reputation across Surrey and South West London, and we’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to reach their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
  • Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning activities
  • Encouraging pupils’ independence, confidence, and social development
  • Supporting behaviour positively using school strategies and routines
  • Helping to create an inclusive, engaging, and safe learning environment
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources where required

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or educational setting
  • A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude
  • A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
  • An understanding of safeguarding and inclusive education
