The Role

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND

• Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support strategies

• Supporting pupils’ communication, social and emotional development

• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence

• Assisting with targeted interventions and monitoring pupil progress

• Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable

• Experience within a school, nursery or childcare setting is beneficial

• Patient, empathetic and nurturing approach

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Calm, resilient and able to adapt to individual pupil needs

• Passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning
