SEN Teaching Assistant – Littlehampton
Full-Time | September 2026 Start
Engage Education is partnering with a welcoming school in Littlehampton to recruit an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting in September 2026.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children with additional needs and wants to play an important part in helping pupils thrive both academically and personally. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support throughout the school day.
About the role:
- Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs
- Delivering interventions and targeted learning activities
- Providing classroom support and adapting resources where required
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and participation
- Assisting with emotional regulation and social development
- Supporting positive behaviour strategies
- Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
About you:
- Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Understanding of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs, is beneficial
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Able to build positive and trusting relationships
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
