SEMH Teaching Assistant- September Start
Full time 08:30am until 15:30pm
1:1 role in a mainstream primary school
Engage Education are currently looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to work at a primary school in Leeds. Starting in September, the school are looking for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to work across both KS1 and KS2 phases specifically with children on a 1:1 basis that are dispaying challenging behaviours. This is a full time (Monday to Friday) 12 week temp to perm position.
Your Role:
- Supporting learners on a one-to-one basis often with complex learning needs
- Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class
- Providing feedback to teachers and parents
- You will be assisting pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD
What you will need:
- A range of behaviour management techniques
- To have worked with learners with a range of needs
- The ability to engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
- To be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time
- A resilient attitude
