Nursery Nurse (Level 3) – School-Based Nursery – Mitcham

We’re currently looking for a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Nurse to join a welcoming primary school in Mitcham from the start of the next academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive Early Years team within a well-established school-based nursery. You’ll play an important role in creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can develop, learn and thrive during these crucial early years.

The school is looking for someone who is passionate about Early Years education, enjoys building positive relationships with children and families, and is committed to supporting every child to achieve their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children aged 3–4 within a busy school-based nursery
• Delivering engaging play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Supporting children’s communication, language, social and emotional development
• Observing, monitoring and recording children’s progress
• Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence
• Working closely with teachers, Early Years practitioners and parents to support each child’s development
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Ensuring safeguarding and welfare procedures are followed at all times

The ideal applicant will have:

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Experience working within a nursery, preschool or school-based Early Years setting
• Good knowledge of the EYFS Framework
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
• A genuine passion for supporting young children’s learning and development
