Engage Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Isle of Dogs, Tower Hamlets from September 2026. The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 both in the classroom and through small group interventions.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities.
• Provide additional support to pupils who require help with their learning, confidence, or social development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote independence within the classroom.
• Support children with varying learning needs, including those with SEND where required.
• Help prepare classroom resources and create a positive learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support children’s progress and wellbeing.

We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, tutoring, mentoring, sports coaching, or youth work setting is desirable.
• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and flexible attitude with a willingness to learn.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and development.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
