This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Drama specialist to shape and develop a dynamic Drama curriculum within a well-resourced and supportive school environment.
The Role
- Leading and developing the Drama department across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
- Delivering engaging and inspiring Drama lessons to a high academic standard
- Preparing students for GCSE and A Level Drama examinations
- Organising and directing school productions, performances and extracurricular activities
- Supporting students in developing confidence, creativity and performance skills
- Managing curriculum planning, assessment and departmental resources
- Contributing to the wider life of the school community
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Drama at secondary level, including KS5
- Previous leadership experience or the ambition to step into a leadership role
- Passionate about performing arts and student enrichment
- Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to inspire both students and colleagues
