The Role
As a Geography Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and stimulating Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on your experience.
- Plan and deliver lessons that encourage curiosity about physical and human geography.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing meaningful feedback to support achievement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to participate and succeed.
- Support fieldwork opportunities and enrichment activities where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop an ambitious and engaging Humanities curriculum.
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Geography in a secondary school setting.
- Possesses strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Is committed to raising standards and ensuring all students reach their potential.
- Is enthusiastic about contributing to the wider school community.
