Food Technology Teacher needed in Dartford  – September 2026 – July 2027 (Full Academic Year)

I am currently working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Darrford that is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Food Technology to join their team from September 2026 until July 2027. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, ideal for a qualified teacher with a passion for literature and language, and a strong commitment to student progress.

The school offers a supportive and collaborative environment, with a well-structured Food Technology curriculum and a focus on high standards of teaching and learning across all key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on experience
  • Plan, prepare, and assess in line with departmental schemes of work
  • Support students of all abilities to develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience teaching Food Technology  in a UK secondary school
  • Strong subject knowledge across literature and language
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
