The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and challenging English Language and English Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing meaningful feedback to support achievement.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to succeed.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop an ambitious and engaging English curriculum.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and pastoral support where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
• Has excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English Language and Literature.
• Can motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student wellbeing.
