The Role

As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
• Create a safe and stimulating workshop environment where students can develop practical and technical skills.
• Assess, monitor, and support student progress to ensure excellent outcomes.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
• Contribute to curriculum development within the Design & Technology department.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and student engagement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider school community.

We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school.
• The ability to teach across one or more DT specialisms, such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering, or Food Technology.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for inspiring young people through practical and creative learning.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
