The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour and ensure students remain focused and engaged throughout the lesson.
• Create a calm, purposeful and productive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently, using the school’s behaviour policy consistently.
• Build positive relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement, behaviour and lesson outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with young people in a school, youth work, coaching, mentoring or similar setting.
• Demonstrates excellent behaviour management and can confidently manage challenging behaviour.
• Is resilient, calm under pressure and able to think on their feet.
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can establish positive relationships while maintaining high expectations.
• Is reliable, professional and committed to supporting students’ success.
