A forward-thinking secondary school in Haringey is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join its pastoral team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with young people who is looking to make a positive impact in education.

Your Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

• Provide one to one and small group support for students who require behavioural and emotional guidance.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to improve engagement and attendance.
• Support students in managing their behaviour both inside and outside the classroom.
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral leaders and the safeguarding team to implement behaviour support strategies.
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence, resilience and positive learning habits.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience working with young people in schools, youth work, coaching, mentoring or similar settings.
• Is calm, patient and resilient when managing challenging situations.
• Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Is passionate about supporting students to succeed academically and personally.
• Can commit to working full time for the academic year.
