Academic Mentors & Graduate Teaching Assistants – September Start
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full Time and Part Time Opportunities Available

Are you a recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience in education before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, or youth support?
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and academically strong graduates to work as Academic Mentors, Graduate Teaching Assistants and Literacy Tutors from September.
We are recruiting graduates from a range of subject backgrounds, including:
• English
• Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)
• Geography
• Business and Economics
• Social Sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Politics and related subjects)
• Literacy and Reading Support
These roles provide an excellent opportunity to work closely with students, helping them build confidence, improve attainment, and achieve their academic potential. Positions are available on both a full time and part time basis.
The Role
• Deliver one to one and small group academic support
• Support students in your specialist subject area
• Assist with intervention programmes designed to raise attainment
• Help students develop effective study skills and learning habits
• Encourage engagement, confidence and academic progress
• Work closely with teaching and pastoral teams to support student outcomes
The Ideal Candidate
• A degree in a relevant subject
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, proactive and professional approach
• Previous experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential
• Graduates considering teacher training or a long term career in education are encouraged to apply
