A 2019 Metro article described Hastings as the ‘best commuter seaside town to move to’, it’s easy to see the appeal when you think about what the town has to offer. Set on the wonderful coastline of East Sussex the town is synonymous with the Battle of 1066, the last successful invasion of England, by William the Conqueror.
The battle site itself is 15 minutes away from the town in nearby Battle and Hastings offers so much history to explore. Did you know for example, that it was formerly part of a medieval alliance of coastal towns?!
