About Rother

Rother is a district in East Sussex which contains a variety of stunning countryside views and picturesque seaside towns, this a place where many find a perfect work-life balance. If you head east you will come to the picturesque cinque port of Rye, Rye is a small cobblestone town where you can walk by the harbour or check out the saltmarsh, it is a haven for wildlife!

Closeby you have smaller villages like Northiam, Robertsbridge and Bodiam. The latter contains a moated castle full of history, which is definitely worth a look at.

Also in Rother, you have the historic town of Battle, which gets its name from being the battleground of ‘The battle of Hastings’ in 1066. In this town, you can visit the history Battle Abbey grounds or take in the quintessentially British town and all the independent and query shops it has to offer.

This district is full of places to see and quite sums up small-town England, so if you enjoy countryside walks or sandy beaches (head to the glorious sandy beaches of Camber) this is the place to be.

Larger towns like Bexhill are on the main train service line whilst other smaller town such as Robertsbridge have their own local train stations too.
