Permanent Vacancies

Permanent Teaching Roles

Many teachers’ goal is to secure a permanent role at their favourite school. Permanent roles offer more financial stability and job security than supply and long-term cover roles provide. We work hand-in-hand with our teachers in long- and short-term positions to secure a permanent role for them when they decide the time is right to swtich to permanent work.

Though moving to a permanent role with a school means you’re no longer on our books, that doesn’t mean your relationship with Engage has to stop there. We offer permanent teachers complete unrestricted access to our ongoing CPD programme, as well as exciting referral bonuses and career progression opportunities.

We work with over 2286 schools across the UK, so there’s always a wide range of vacancies available. We cover all areas of education; including Early Years Nursery, Primary, Secondary, Independent, Faith, Specialist, Private, Academies, Colleges, PRUs and more, so you can rest assured that if you have a preference, we have it covered.

Benefits of permanent teaching jobs

financial security

When you secure your permanent teaching job with Engage, you’ll receive your full pay packet over half term and during the holidays, allowing you to plan for the future and spend in the short term. You’ll also be entitled to receive all the benefits given by your chosen school and qualify for sick pay and holiday pay.

Build relationships with your students

When you’re working with students over a long period of time within a permanent role, you’ll have the rewarding benefit of watching your students progress and advance in their education. This will add structure to your life and your students’ lives, and maximise their learning.

Career Progression

A school is more likely to invest in your future and career when you take up a permanent role with them, as they have already decided they would like you on the staff long-term. You’ll also be given the opportunity to learn your working environment inside-out, giving you all the tools you need to progress in your chosen department.

What we do

Supporting our teachers is central to everything we do, so we meet all applicants in person before putting anyone forward for an interview. We offer a free career planning session to everyone that registers with us; this way we get to know you on a personal level and understand your unique needs.

We work hard to put you at the front of hiring schools’ minds and maximise your chances of finding exactly what you need. From initial interview to negotiating salary terms, we’re on hand throughout the entire process to make sure you’re set for success at your new school.

On occasion, we offer trial days for you in particular schools, to give you a chance to get to know the location, faculty and dynamics of the school – a chance to test drive your chosen school.

We’ve helped 102,437 educators find work; we can help you too.
