Year 5 Teacher Required for Primary School in Mitcham

About the role:

At Engage Education, we are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to work full-time at a primary school in Mitcham, starting in February 2027.

This is a full class responsibility role, with responsibility for planning, teaching, assessment and marking for a Year 5 class. The position will run for the remainder of the academic year, with the potential to continue beyond this for the right teacher.

The successful teacher will be paid to scale and will become part of a supportive school team focused on providing a high standard of teaching and learning for its pupils.

If you are a confident Key Stage 2 teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, maintain high expectations and take full responsibility for your class, we would love to hear from you.

The ideal applicant will be:

• A qualified teacher with QTS
• Experienced in teaching Key Stage 2, ideally within Year 5
• Confident taking full class responsibility, including planning, marking and assessment
• Able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Able to establish high expectations for learning and behaviour
• An enthusiastic and adaptable teacher who can inspire pupils in the classroom
