Salary: £10.00–£13.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join a welcoming school in Farnham, Surrey, starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent earn-while-you-learn opportunity, allowing you to gain valuable hands-on experience in a school environment while working towards a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support pupils with their learning and development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils within the classroom and wider school environment
  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support
  • Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
  • Supporting children with additional learning and SEND needs
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and preparation
  • Helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, teachers and families
  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional and academic development
  • Gaining valuable experience across the school day

The Apprenticeship

As part of the programme, you will receive:

  • A fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Practical, hands-on experience within a school
  • Dedicated training and support throughout your apprenticeship
  • The opportunity to develop your classroom and communication skills
  • A recognised qualification to support your long-term career in education
  • Potential opportunities to progress into a permanent Teaching Assistant role
  • Potential progression onto further qualifications, including Level 4 HLTA

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential. Full training and support will be provided.
