Are you an experienced Support Worker, Teaching Assistant or SEN professional with a passion for supporting children and young people with complex needs?

We are currently recruiting for a Autism Support Worker to join a specialist school supporting children and young people aged 3–19. The role involves providing high-quality, personalised support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them develop their communication, independence and life skills.

The Pupils

The school supports children and young people with a range of complex needs, including:

  • Autism
  • Hearing Impairments
  • Complex communication needs
  • Emotional and social needs

Key Responsibilities

As a Autism Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
  • Adapt communication to meet individual needs
  • Provide positive behaviour and emotional support
  • Support the development of life and independence skills
  • Assist with community access and activities
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

You may have experience as a:

  • Support Worker
  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Care Worker
  • Residential Support Worker
  • Healthcare Assistant
  • Learning Support Assistant
  • Complex Needs Practitioner

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience with:
