About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and diverse primary school in Leeds. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting in November, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will support pupils within a KS1 and KS2, providing additional support to key children and delivering small-group interventions to help pupils develop their confidence, understanding and academic progress.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teaching assistant who enjoys helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils in KS1 and KS2

• Delivering targeted interventions to reinforce classroom learning.

• Supporting the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging learning activities.

• Adapting support to meet pupils’ individual learning needs.

• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and participation.

• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.

• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to the class teacher.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

• A relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.

• Previous experience working in a primary or secondary school.

• A genuine passion for education and improving pupil attainment.

• Creativity and enthusiasm for delivering engaging learning activities.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

• A patient, proactive and flexible approach to supporting children’s learning.
