What makes a good SENCO?

In every UK school, there’s a qualified teacher known as a SENCO (A Special Educational Needs Coordinator) who ensures children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) get the support they need to succeed. They’re the ones who spot when a child needs extra help, work out the best way to support them and make sure that support happens. They coordinate support programmes efficiently, handle budgets effectively and ensure all statutory requirements are met.
