Engage partners with Leeds City Council

Engage join the framework for the provision of Supply Teachers and Educational Temporary Agency Workers to Leeds Schools!

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been accepted onto the Leeds City Council Framework for the provision of Supply Teachers and Educational Temporary Agency Workers to Leeds Schools. We’re proud to have added another local authority to our list of framework agreements. 

There are 282 schools across Leeds City Council, a mix of 226 primaries, 45 secondary and 11 SEND schools. Becoming an approved agency on this framework means we’ll be able to support local teachers and support staff to secure consistent work, great rates of pay and even better perks! 

Why were we selected?

During the tender process with Leeds City Council, we demonstrated our ability to resource high-quality teachers and support staff for short and longer-term assignments, with high levels of compliance and fair and transparent pricing. We are also committed to meeting various socio-economical targets and practices within recruitment.

Our Leeds team offer a 24/7 hour service and are available at any time, including weekends so they can support with unexpected staff absences. 

Supporting local people in Leeds find employment

We will be hosting local career fairs every half term at our Leeds office, our experienced team will be on hand to support people from the Leeds area to kickstart or enhance their careers in Leeds City Centre schools. Our events are usually be held in half term breaks so those who are currently working in schools can attend.

As part of our commitment to the Leeds City Council framework, our registration process will also ensure all candidates who join our Leeds office get mentoring, mock interviews, CV advice as well as general education careers guidance – and of course, the opportunity to find out more about our fantastic vacancies across Leeds City Council.

Promoting positive mental health & wellbeing events

We regularly promote mental wellbeing to all of our candidates and internal staff, from events to our partnership with a company called Education Support. All teachers and support staff who work for Engage gets access to their Employee Assistance Programme which provides essential support, counselling and advice to anyone who needs it, as many times as they need it. Education Supports’ Employee Assistance Programme means schools can benefit from improved staff retention and reduced levels of absence, improved organisational efficiency and colleagues who feel confident that you care for their welfare.

All candidates who work with Engage also get access to Creative Education’s CPD portal, completely free of charge. The portal is full of engaging training videos which highlight all aspects of working in schools, but we regularly promote wellbeing and mental health courses to our candidates to ensure they’re informed about what’s available to them. 

We’ll also be supporting local educators by hosting regular wellbeing events – our Leeds team will be working with local wellbeing companies to plan and deliver exciting events every half term.
