Engage becomes a Star Partner!

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve been accepted as a recruitment partner with Star Academies! Star Academies runs a growing network of primary and secondary schools, with clusters in Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, the West Midlands and East London. 

Their mission is to deliver the best education possible to young people, achieve excellent academic results and develop young people. They also contribute to local communities they operate in and offer opportunities for their students to support local projects, too.

Star Academies has been led by Chief Executive Sir Mufti Hamid Patel CBE since its inception and has enjoyed huge success over the years, including being awarded a CBE in 2015 and a knighthood in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2021.

We opened our new Leeds branch in 2021 and have since joined a handful of preferred supplier lists across the North of England – and we’re really pleased to have added Star Academies to our roster.

A CCS Partnership 

Star Academies has accepted Engage as a Star Partner using CCS Framework terms – as an easy, compliant and cost-effective way to recruit staff for its schools.

The CCS framework was created to help schools save money and provide the DfE better visibility of how government funds are being spent by schools that use recruitment agencies for their supply teachers.

Currently, only 122 recruitment agencies are listed on the CCS framework as approved providers. To appear on the list of approved vendors, agencies have to set out their costs up-front – allowing schools to compare prices – and conduct rigorous background checks on their agency workers. Agencies had to submit a detailed tender document that demonstrated their ability to deliver the required services and meet the selection criteria.
