Location: Croydon, South London

Contract: Full-Time / Long-Term
Salary: £100 – £110 Per day
We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Croydon.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and can provide consistent, individualised support to help pupils access learning and develop greater independence.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow individual support plans
- Support the pupil with learning, communication and social development
- Help manage emotional regulation and behaviour where required
- Encourage independence and confidence in the classroom
- Support the pupil in accessing the wider curriculum
- Assist with targeted interventions and structured activities
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
- Experience providing 1:1 support would be highly advantageous
- A patient, calm and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Resilient and able to remain consistent when supporting additional needs
- Reliable, proactive and adaptable
- Able to work effectively with teachers, SENCOs and support staff
- Passionate about helping children achieve their potential
