We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join a welcoming school in Farnham, Surrey, starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent earn-while-you-learn opportunity, allowing you to gain valuable hands-on experience in a school environment while working towards a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support pupils with their learning and development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils within the classroom and wider school environment
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support
- Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
- Supporting children with additional learning and SEND needs
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and preparation
- Helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment
- Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement
- Building positive relationships with pupils, teachers and families
- Supporting pupils’ social, emotional and academic development
- Gaining valuable experience across the school day
The Apprenticeship
As part of the programme, you will receive:
- A fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Practical, hands-on experience within a school
- Dedicated training and support throughout your apprenticeship
- The opportunity to develop your classroom and communication skills
- A recognised qualification to support your long-term career in education
- Potential opportunities to progress into a permanent Teaching Assistant role
- Potential progression onto further qualifications, including Level 4 HLTA

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential. Full training and support will be provided.
