The Role

• Supporting pupils in the classroom to access learning and remain engaged
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
• Assisting the class teacher with lessons, activities and classroom organisation
• Supporting pupils with a range of abilities, including SEND
• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery or childcare setting is desirable
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Flexible, reliable and proactive
• Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
