We are recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprentice to join a lovely mainstream primary school in Wetherby, North Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while completing a fully funded Level 3 CACHE Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

About the Role
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced staff to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
 

  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Working with children with SEND, including Autism,
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, communication, and emotional regulation
  • Supporting learning across literacy, numeracy, and intervention sessions
  • Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and learning resources
  • Promoting positive behaviour and inclusive learning
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families

Essential Requirements

We’re looking for candidates who are:
 

  • Caring, patient, and resilient
  • Passionate about supporting children and young people
  • Committed to completing the 11-month apprenticeship programme
  • Some prior experience working with children in some capacity or vulnerable adults
  • Strong communicators who work well within a team
  • Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn 

Desirable (Not Essential)
 

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) 

     

Please note: Applicants must not currently be enrolled on another government-funded apprenticeship or qualification programme.
