SEN Teaching Assistant – West Molesey

Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time | September 2026 Start | Long-term opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in West Molesey from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a lasting impact on their education.

About the role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential. You will become an important part of the school’s SEND team, providing tailored support both inside and outside the classroom.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to access the curriculum
  • Assisting the class teacher with differentiated learning activities and targeted interventions
  • Encouraging pupils’ social, emotional and academic development
  • Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child can succeed

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or educational setting
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential
