Complex Needs Assistant – Hastings

Engage Education is recruiting a Complex Needs Assistant to join a dedicated specialist setting in Hastings from September 2026.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with complex learning difficulties, physical disabilities, autism, and communication needs, helping them access education in a safe and nurturing environment.
About the role:
- Providing specialist 1:1 and small group support
- Assisting pupils with complex learning and communication needs
- Supporting personal care where required
- Helping pupils access tailored learning activities
- Promoting independence and life skills
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN professionals
- Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and development
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
About you:
- Experience supporting children or adults with additional needs is desirable
- Caring, compassionate, and resilient approach
- Comfortable supporting pupils with personal care if required
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Passionate about inclusive education
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
