Secondary Design and Technology Teacher Required for School in Bradford

About the role
This is a full-time role in which you will be expected to deliver well-planned, engaging lessons and maintain exceptionally high standards of behaviour and achievement. The school is committed to developing confident, articulate, and responsible young people through a knowledge-rich curriculum and a culture of excellence.
This is a 1-year contract starting in September, with the potential to become a permanent position within the school.
The successful candidate will join a highly supportive and collaborative department, working alongside a team of skilled practitioners who are passionate about delivering an outstanding educational experience. Applications are welcomed from teachers of all Design and Technology specialisms, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering, Food Technology, and Textiles. The ability to teach across a range of DT disciplines would be advantageous, although not essential.
The ideal candidate
- Extensive experience teaching Design and Technology at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level
- Applications are welcomed from all DT specialisms
- Strong subject knowledge and a proven teaching background
- The ability to deliver engaging, knowledge-rich lessons that challenge and inspire students
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills, with a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Available for interview and lesson observation
- Committed and proactive in engaging students and raising achievement
- A reflective practitioner who is dedicated to continuous improvement and professional development
- The ability to contribute positively to a collaborative department and wider school community
- A commitment to supporting students’ personal development, leadership skills, and character education alongside their academic progress
