We are working with a friendly and supportive primary school in Mitcham that is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the classroom while completing a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

You’ll work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, helping pupils to thrive academically, socially and emotionally while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting pupils in class, on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting with literacy, numeracy and phonics activities
• Helping pupils stay engaged and focused during lessons
• Supporting children with additional learning needs where required
• Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom resources
• Contributing to a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment

Requirements

• Commitment to completing an 11-month apprenticeship programme
• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive and professional attitude
• Must not be enrolled on another government-funded qualification
