Location: Secondary school based in Stockport, Greater Manchester
Contract Type: Full-Time
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: MPS/UPS (Suitable for ECTs and Experienced Teachers)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, talented and committed Science Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Stockport from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Science teacher to become part of a supportive and forward-thinking Science department that is dedicated to delivering outstanding learning experiences for all students.

Applications are welcomed from teachers of all science specialisms, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who can inspire curiosity, develop scientific thinking and foster a lifelong love of learning.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably qualified candidates.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and inclusive lessons.
  • Monitor, assess and support student progress to ensure excellent outcomes.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the Science curriculum.
  • Support the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and extracurricular opportunities.
  • Promote high standards of achievement, behaviour and attendance.

We Are Looking For:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is on track to achieve QTS by September 2026.
  • Has a degree in a Science-related subject.
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science education.
  • Has high expectations of student achievement and behaviour.
  • Is committed to inclusive education and ensuring every student can succeed.
  • Is a reflective practitioner with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to school life.
