SEN Teaching Assistant – Crawley

Engage Education is working with a supportive and inclusive school in Crawley to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in September 2026.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. The school is looking for someone who is patient, adaptable, and passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives.

About the role:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
• Assisting students with academic, social, and emotional development
• Supporting pupils with EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
• Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver targeted interventions
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
• Helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

About you:

• Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable
• Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to adapt support to meet individual pupil needs
• Committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
