We are recruiting an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive OFSTED-rated Good Primary School in Croydon. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while completing a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you’ll help pupils thrive academically, socially and emotionally while building the skills needed for a successful career in education.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small group interventions
• Assist with literacy, numeracy, phonics and classroom learning activities
• Help maintain positive classroom behaviour and engagement
• Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, confidence and social development
• Prepare learning resources and assist teachers with lesson delivery
• Encourage children to reach their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment

Requirements

• Commitment to completing an 11-month apprenticeship programme
• GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above preferred
• Eligible to undertake an apprenticeship and not currently enrolled on another government-funded course
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning
