Graduate Teaching Assistant – Sutton

About the role:

At Engage Education, we are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant for a fantastic school in Sutton.

This is a full-time position to start as soon as possible and continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential to continue into the next academic year for the right candidate.

This role is ideal for a graduate considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or working with children and young people. You will gain valuable classroom experience while supporting pupils across a range of subjects and year groups.

The school has a supportive team and is committed to helping both pupils and staff reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in any subject
• A genuine interest in education and working with young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A proactive and enthusiastic attitude
• Experience working with children is desirable but not essential

The role may include:

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Helping pupils to stay engaged and make progress in their learning
• Supporting children with additional needs where required
• Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
