Maths Teacher – Full Time (Long-Term / Temp to Perm)

Start Date: ASAP or September 2026

Contract: Full Time | Long-Term | Temp to Permanent Opportunity

 

A specialist SEMH school are seeking a passionate and engaging Maths Teacher to join their team as soon as possible on a full-time, long-term basis, with the potential to move into a permanent role for the right candidate.

 

This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a therapeutic educational environment that supports students who have experienced barriers to learning and require a more personalised approach to education.

The Role

 

The successful candidate will:

 

Deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS2, KS3 and KS4

 

Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs

 

Support students in developing both numeracy skills and confidence in learning

 

Plan differentiated lessons and track student progress

 

Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, therapists and support staff

 

The Ideal Candidate

 

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent

 

Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level

 

Experience working with SEMH, SEND, or alternative provision settings is highly desirable

 

Strong behaviour management and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

 

A passion for supporting young people who require a more tailored educational approach
