Looking to begin a career in education while gaining a recognised qualification? Engage Education is recruiting for an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Horsham.

This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development while completing a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. You will gain valuable classroom experience across the primary age range while earning from day one.

About the role:

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on both a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assisting teachers with learning activities and classroom preparation
• Helping children with literacy, phonics, and numeracy tasks
• Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
• Supporting pupils’ confidence, wellbeing, and social development
• Assisting in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment

About you:

• Interested in building a career within education
• Positive, reliable, and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Patient and supportive when working with children
• GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above preferred
• Able to commit to the full apprenticeship programme
• Not currently completing another government-funded course
