SEN Teaching Assistant – Eastbourne
Engage Education is currently working with a welcoming and inclusive school in Eastbourne to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with additional needs and help them access learning in a positive and supportive environment.
About the role:
- Supporting students with special educational needs within the classroom
- Working closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning support
- Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and independence
- Providing one-to-one and small group support where required
- Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Assisting with classroom preparation and learning activities
About you:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Calm and resilient attitude within a busy school environment
- Passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
