About the role:
Engage Education is currently recruiting an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join a Primary school in Bromley. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start or change their career while completing a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

You will be supporting children and young people aged 3-11 with a range of special educational needs, including visual impairment, hearing impairment, multi-sensory
impairment, ASD, ADHD, PMLD, and challenging behaviour. Pupils work at varying academic levels including sepcialist provisoon and 1:1 support. 

This role is available as soon as possible and combines hands-on classroom experience with structured training delivered during working hours, both in person and online.

Key responsibilities:
● Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
● Assisting teachers with the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons
● Supporting pupils’ educational, emotional, and behavioural development
● Preparing and adapting specialist learning resources
● Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to teachers and parents

Training & Development:
As part of your apprenticeship, you will complete specialist SEND-focused training, including workshops on:
● The SEND landscape in the UK
● Safeguarding in SEND settings
● Adaptive curriculum design

● Innovative assessment methods
● Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia
● Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
● Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)

This training will equip you with the skills and confidence to make a meaningful impact in a school environment.

About you:
● Be passionate about supporting children with SEND
● Be patient, empathetic, and resilient
● Have strong communication skills
● Be committed to completing a minimum 12-month apprenticeship
● Hold GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above)
