Joel Foskett

Working closely with Joel from Engage over the past five years I can say with every confidence that the service he provides is excellent. He is an honest, trustworthy and reliable consultant who delivers high quality staff. He has a clear understanding of the needs of our school and tries his utmost to match the right candidate with the child. His endeavours to provide a high-quality service has ensured that the partnership between the school and his company is strong. Over the years Joel has been able to secure long term roles for his staff within our school as well as meet our day to day cover needs. As a result of the careful selection of staff by Joel the placements have been successful not only benefitting the children, but as a school, we have gone on to recruit many of the staff members to our permanent staff team.  As a large primary school in East London I have experience of working alongside many agencies, many of whom do not match the level of service given by Joel. He is highly professional and effective in what he does. He is approachable, hardworking and avoids the ‘hard sell’ that other agencies use. His dedication to provide the school with a high-quality service is admirable and as a consequence he is often our first port of call. Effective communication between a school and an agency is paramount to ensure an effective working relationship. Joel has made this experience flawless through his rapid response to phone calls, text messages and emails, even out of school hours, to which I am very grateful. Regular visits to the school have provided Joel with a deeper understanding of the ever-changing needs within our diverse community. Joel is passionate to understand our school in order to place candidates accurately.  For many years now we have relied on Joel to cover both short and long term teacher and LSA roles. I have found the charge rates competitive guaranteeing we are getting good value for money without lowering the quality of staff.  Working with Joel is an absolute pleasure. He helps to ease the burden of recruiting staff in these challenging times. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him to other schools.

As Headteacher of a two form primary school with a busy Nursery. I have worked closely with Joel at Engage for almost 4 years now, across 2 schools, and have always found him to be honest, professional, hardworking and readily available to support the school whenever I have needed his services - no matter what time of the day or week. Typically we have a fairly stable staff structure, though there have been occasions where we have needed to call upon an agency to solve short and long term staffing issues at short notice particularly during COVID. Joel has taken the time to really understand the needs of the school, visiting us at both schools to understand the setting the specific situations we have found ourselves in when recruiting, as well as providing an honest insight to market conditions for both teachers and support staff and acts swiftly to resolve staffing issues to help us. Joel has always worked hard to provide high calibre candidates that have had a positive impact in our setting. I genuinely believe he works in our best interests as opposed to his own. He keeps me well updated. When things don't go to plan, Joel is always honest, communicates effectively, and looks to provide a solution to the issue. I have no hesitation in recommending Joel to other schools.
