I have worked with Engage Education since September 2015 and have consistently been impressed by the dedication and professionalism shown by my consultant Haider Choudhry. Engage Education ensured my partner and I transitioned smoothly to life in the UK, making regular phone calls to assure we had appropriate accommodation and were settling into our new positions at The Westgate School, Slough. The Westgate School has numerous other teachers who have been employed through education companies, many of whom were unimpressed with the lack of relationship between themselves and their consultants. I, however, have been duly impressed by Haider’s commitment to guaranteeing an enjoyable working and social experience for myself. I have been invited and welcomed to social events held by Engage Education which have been extremely enjoyable and provided me the opportunity to meet likeminded people. Haider’s dedication was evident prior to moving to the UK as he made regular phone calls to ensure I had organised appropriate accommodation and transport upon my arrival to the UK. Haider’s willingness to assist has consistently been timely and efficient. After having difficulty finding permanent accommodation, Haider dedicated his time and effort in order to help us find somewhere to live in the Berkshire area. We are currently located in Slough, a town with central transport links and a short 20 minute train ride to London. With ample leisure, food and living facilities in close range, Slough has provided us with everything we need in building a new life overseas. I would recommend Engage Education as a result of their ability to build meaningful relationships with their clients and offer continual support as an employer. In particular, I would highly recommend my consultant, Haider Choudhry. His positive attitude is refreshing, alongside his impressive desire to meet the needs of his clients. At times I feel making such a life changing transition would not have been possible without his support and I will be forever grateful for the commitment both Haider and Engage have made in making this such an enjoyable and memorable experience.

As Deputy Headteacher I have worked with many agencies, I would say that Haider has been one of the best representatives I have worked with. Being kept informed, calls returned when promised and honest appraisals matter very much to me and Haider has delivered on each one consistently. I am very happy with this very ‘engaging’ agency, & in particular, with the 2 people who mostly assign my roles, Simon Whitcombe & Craig Manley. They both have very positive attitudes & are cheery, considerate, honest, polite & reliable. Simon was the first to welcome me to Engage & took time to explain carefully, how it all worked. Everyone has their own reasons for considering agency work & their personal expectations. I was sold, not only on Simon’s patient, friendly 1-1 approach & the company’s guarantee of weekly paid days, once you’ve mutually agreed to a commitment, but also because I had another career to fit in, & he assured me that this was fine & workable. So far, things have been going smoothly & Engage has proven its flexibility. When I’ve notified them of my unavailability, either due to ill health, family issues or my other role, they have always shown respect & understanding & have worked around it. Equally, when, on occasion, an assignment for me has been cancelled or altered, they are quick on the ball to notify me of this, & do what they can to bring about the best possible outcome. And on the even rarer occasion of my feeding back that an assignment I’ve had was undesirable, they have considered my complaint & not reassigned me to that school, showing that they value & respect my opinion. Although this is only my second year with them (feels like I’ve known them for much longer), they are already like trusted family members, so I am happy to continue working with Simon, Craig & the rest of the team.

Have had great experiences working with Engage. I have had daily supply work with them as well as a long term placement and they have always been able to find the perfect work assignments for me to fit with my schedule and other commitments. Simon in particular is friendly, approachable and always happy to help. They also put on social events occasionally which is great for people new to the city. Can’t recommend them enough.

Engage Education has made my transition to London incredibly easy. Simon and all the staff have always been there to help answer any questions and provide me with great advice, from the first phone call setting up interviews with schools, to advice about getting a house in London, travel tips and even helping me to gain a sponsorship with the current school I was working with. Their support and guidance is phenomenal and I can’t thank them enough for helping me with my London adventures, every step of the way.

We have been booking staff from Engage through Simon for a number of years now. Over that time, the service we have received has been so good that we no longer use any other agency. Simon has a really good understanding of our school’s needs and works hard to match us with the best teachers. His communication is absolutely first class. He always responds to emails, calls and texts and keeps me in the loop so that I can make the most appropriate decision. He is absolutely reliable; if he says he is going to do something, I never have a moment’s doubt that it will happen. Even if I book a teacher at short notice, they are usually with us by 8.15am which means we have time to brief them fully before they are in front of a class. This helps them to feel confident about the day ahead. He also tries to prioritise us to ensure the children have the same teacher if a member of staff is absent for more than one day. I appreciate his attention to detail and his commitment to our children. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

Having never supplied before, I was unsure of the process but Simon and the whole team at Engage were so informative and professional, I knew straight away I was in good hands. They took the time to check in with me regularly after each visit to a school and kept me up to date with my future bookings. The schools I visited were so varied, yet, they all held a friendly and welcoming atmosphere – I was (and would always have been!) happy to visit each one again! Supply has given me the freedom to focus on my teaching and I have enjoyed it every step of the way!

I have been working with Simon Whitcombe for about four years now. I really appreciate the working relationship I have with him. Simon treats me very personably, so that I feel heard and cared for as a client. He has taken time to get to know our school and the types of teaching staff who would best fit our needs. Simon has always been honest and this has really helped to nurture a trusting professional relationship. He is highly efficient too, which is an art when dealing with so many people.

Throughout my whole experience here Simon, my consultant, known as Simo to my fellow Australians, has made the experience that much more enjoyable. He is constantly checking on us making sure we are being treated well and wanting to catch up. In a country where you are trying to build up your friendship base from scratch having a consultant like Simo, is great. Simo has become more of a friend than a consultant. He helped in the transition to settling in this country to such a great extent. His constant efforts are not only a testament to Engage, but to his constant enthusiasm he has for the job.
